The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office says that a man was arrested after leading officers on a chase on Monday morning.

The MCSO wrote in a Facebook post:

This morning, dispatch put out an “attempt to locate” on a stolen vehicle out of Missoula city limits. Shortly after, a Missoula County Sheriffs Deputy, who was patrolling near Pulp Mill Road to be on the lookout observed the stolen vehicle heading west on Mullan at approximately 8:05. The suspect had pulled to the side of the road, so the deputy initiated his lights and began the felony stop. After refusing verbal commands from the deputy, the vehicle sped away.

The suspect drove through a construction site, several fields and through fences, weaving the deputy in several directions before coming to a stop on Haven Heights. The suspect then fled on foot into a nearby home. The homeowner had observed the recent police activity and armed himself prior to the suspects entrance.

When the suspect entered his home, he held him at gunpoint until officers arrived and took the suspect into custody.

At the time of the arrest of the suspect would not give his name. However, he will be booked in the Missoula County Detention Facility once more information is gathered.

We will update you if we get more information.
