BILLINGS — Area law enforcement were led on a slow-speed chase by a pair of 10-year-olds who allegedly stole a large RV from an auto auction yard around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Billings Police Sgt. Harley Cagle.

Cagle said a motorist originally called in the RV after it was driving erratically and trying to run another car off the road.

Law enforcement found the vehicle on Sugar Avenue and started a slow-speed pursuit where speeds ranged from 10 to 25 miles per hour.

Officers were able to bring the RV to a safe stop after popping all of its tires with spike strips. The chase ended near the address of 3218 S. Frontage Road.

None were injured in in the chase, Cagle said. The pair of 10-year-olds were safely brought back to their parents Tuesday night.

Cagle said the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending upon further investigation of possible damage to the auto auction property.

Personnel from the Billings Police Department, Yellowstone County Sheriff's and Montana Highway Patrol all assisted in the chase, Cagle said.
