Chilly race day

Temperatures Friday are running much cooler than Thursday, and we’ll see cool temperatures for Saturday as well.

We’re also still tracking rain showers Friday afternoon.

Those will last into the evening, but begin to fade in the overnight hours.

We will see some mountain snow above 5500 feet.

More rain will be possible Saturday.

Fortunately for the Governor’s Cup, most of the rain will be in the late morning and afternoon, and rain showers will be scattered and fairly brief.

Temperatures are looking cool for race day as well.

The first events will kick off with temperatures in the upper 30s, and temperatures will be around 50 by the time the races wrap up.

Highs in the 50s and 60s are expected statewide Saturday.
