More snow moving in

Flooding remains widespread across Montana.

We’re now tracking more precipitation to add on top of existing flooding.

Very light precipitation moving through Tuesday evening isn’t much of a concern, but a steadier mix of rain and snow set to arrive Wednesday and linger into Thursday could make flooding worse.

The mix of rain and snow makes snow totals difficult to forecast, but in general central and southern Montana can expect 1 to 4 inches of snow at lower elevations, with more snow potentially as much as a foot, in the mountains.

We’ll continue to update the forecast as new data becomes available.
