Dangerous wind chills expected Sunday night through Monday morning

Cold air persists for the region through Monday with dangerous wind chills between -20 and -40 below at times.

The coldest stretch will be Sunday night through Monday morning.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect through Monday.

Frost bite can occur to exposed skin in a short amount of time if the proper precautions aren’t taken. Bundle up!

Finally seeing a bit of a “warm up” on Tuesday with areas in north-central Montana getting into the teens and twenties for afternoon high temperatures.

Wind are also anticipated to increase on Tuesday which will cause concern for blowing and drifting snow.

Temperatures remain in the teens and twenties on Wednesday but will quickly drop throughout the day.

Another cold stretch will then move in.

The next chance of seeing snow will be Tuesday night for the Rocky Mountain Front then extending to central portions of the state Wednesday afternoon and will continue through Thursday morning.
