Dense areas of freezing fog are affecting our morning commute by reducing visibility through Central Montana.
Snow starts tracking into the state from the south and west this morning.
Scattered snow showers are forecasted for all of Western and North Central Montana by this afternoon.
A well-formed band of snow showers develops this afternoon across Central Montana.
This area is expected to get the higher accumulation amounts with 2-4 inches expected through Friday.
By this evening, snow becomes more isolated with possible snow showers lingering through tomorrow morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect today through Friday in the areas highlighted in light blue below.
Accumulation amounts through lower elevations will be relatively low through Friday afternoon, but snow and rain chances are back by Sunday.
