The first few days of 2019 have greeted us with some very windy weather!

We saw especially strong winds Thursday, when gusts peaked over 100 miles per hour along the Front, caused damage in Great Falls, and helped temperatures soar to record levels in Havre, Turner, and Glasgow.

Winds have remained strong into Friday afternoon, except toward Helena, where the weather has been fairly calm through the week.

Fortunately for everyone away from the Capital, winds will be dying down Friday night, and wind gusts will be negligible through the day on Saturday!

Despite the lack of wind, temperatures will still be mild, with highs in the low to mid 40s.

Sunshine is expected to start the day, with more clouds by the afternoon.

Our break from strong winds looks brief, as they return to the forecast on Sunday.
