If you’re making a return trip home from holiday plans on Saturday, prepare for slow going for parts of the state.

Heavy snow will be moving through Southwest Montana Friday night into early Saturday.

Significant snow accumulation is expected for areas near Helena, Butte, Bozeman, and Missoula.

Roads in those areas will be snow covered by Saturday morning.

The rest of the state will see only light snow.

Saturday will also be a cool day, with highs in the 30s, so little melting is expected.

Check the weather and road conditions before heading out on Saturday.
