HELENA – A Lewis & Clark County Judge set bail at $40,000 for Heather Marie Santos on Friday.

She is accused of intentionally hitting a man with her minivan.

Santos, 37 years, appeared in Justice Court on Friday afternoon.

Court documents allege that Santos and a man were arguing at residence on the 3300 block of Wylie Drive on Thursday night.

The man told police he was arguing with Santos and when he got into his vehicle, Santos slammed her minivan into his car twice.

Police say the man left his vehicle to try and get away, but Santos allegedly chased him around the house and hit him in the legs with her car twice, pushing him into the residence.

The victim was treated at a hospital for his injuries.

Santos was arrested a short time later driving on Highway 12 east; she allegedly admitted to hitting the man with the vehicle, according to court documents.

Santos has been charged with two counts of felony assault with a weapon and one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief.
