HELENA —  Heather R. Norris, of Helena, appeared in Lewis & Clark County Justice Court Wednesday, accused of trying to rob a Winnie Avenue pharmacy Tuesday.

Norris is facing charges of felony attempted robbery and tampering with evidence.

Bergum Drug employees hit their robbery alarm after becoming concerned about a suspect wearing a hoody tight around her face and acting in a suspicious manner.

When police arrived on scene, they spotted Norris walking on Winne Avenue.

Court documents say when Norris saw the officers, she allegedly tossed a knife with an eight-inch blade into some nearby bushes.

Investigators say the Norris was wearing a bandana and gloves that appeared to be intended to conceal her identity. Norris admitted the knife was hers.

Norris told law enforcement she was at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for a friend whose last name she couldn’t remember.

Her bond has been set at $10,000.
