The Helena Symphony and Carroll College has announced the 'Intrepid Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars' concert event and fireworks show on Saturday, July 18 at 8:30 p.m. on the campus of Carroll College.

The 17th annual concert will feature music of the Totally Awesome 80s! Prepare to show off your big hair and mullets, stirrup pants and Members Only jackets, and your best Valley Girl slang for the music of U2, B-52s, David Bowie, Sting, Cindy Lauper, and much more!

Joining the Helena Symphony Orchestra will be a four-piece rock band with four vocalists.

The evening will end with a spectacular fireworks finale, also sponsored by Intrepid Credit Union.

“Symphony Under the Stars is unique Helena tradition, which now reaches out to the entire Pacific Northwest and beyond,” said Helena Symphony Music Director Allan R. Scott. “Carroll College and the Helena Symphony, along with the Intrepid Credit Union have committed to keeping this concert alive.”

“Carroll College enjoys collaborating with the Helena Symphony and Intrepid Credit Union in order to bring this much-anticipated evening of music to the Helena community and beyond each summer. We are proud to provide the venue and are thankful to the myriad of sponsors who make this event possible,” said Dr. John Cech, president of Carroll College.

“At Intrepid Credit Union, we work to cultivate community and strive to make Helena a great place to live, work, and play,” said Greg Strizich, CEO of Intrepid Credit Union. “We are honored to be the principal sponsor of Symphony Under the Stars, which is one of Helena’s most beloved annual events.”
