Pickle fanatics have another way to soothe their dill desires. Sam’s Club is selling a Fried Pickle and Ranch Dip from Taste of the South.
The dip contains sour cream, dill pickle relish, cream cheese, celery, bread crumbs, ranch dressing, and other seasonings and ingredients. Each tub is 1.5 pounds and costs $4.98.
While the dip was previously only available in Sam’s Clubs in select states, it has become so popular that the retailer is now stocking it nationwide.
The brand says the pickle-ranch dip can be served warm or cold and would go well on top of burgers and sandwiches, besides making a great dip for chips or veggies.
On the product page for the dip, enthusiastic reviewers have given it 4.6 stars. One Sam’s Club reviewer said their entire family loves the dip.
“Just the right consistency to not break your chip, but not watery,” they wrote. “Nice tart, fresh flavor. Surprisingly good on a sandwich too.”
Other reviewers mention their favorite uses for the dip, including one fan who suggests adding it to chopped-up hardboiled eggs for a unique and savory egg salad.
Taste of the South’s parent brand, Duke Foods, also partners with Hidden Valley Ranch on other dips and salads, so it makes sense the company would also have a yummy pickle-ranch-fusion dip.
While it doesn’t look like Sam’s Club carries them, Taste of the South also makes Southern-inspired spreads and dips like Old-Fashioned Chicken Salad spread, Deviled Egg spread, “Pimenna” Cheese and Country Ham Salad spread, Sweet Heat BBQ Chicken dip and Sweet Potato Pie dip.
Sam’s Club does have ranch Fresh Gourmet Crispy Dillies with ranch flavoring in stock right now if you want to top your salad, sandwich or burger with some pickle flavor.
But if you’re strictly looking for pickle dips, Trader Joe’s now has a dill pickle hummus.
What would be your perfect chip dip flavor combination?
