HELENA – Broadwater County Sheriff Wynn Meehan said the pilot of a plane that crashed into a sandbar on the Missouri River outside of Townsend was not injured.
According to Meehan, crews are staging in the River Road area.
Reports of the crash came in around 4 p.m.
Sheriff Meehan said the plane is upside down on its top on a sandbar in the river.
